1. Don't you have a FAQ here? Why another Questions page?

This page is specifically for questions that are asked by YOU - the viewer.
They're not arranged in any particular order other than how they were
received. I could answer them in the Dave's News section but that area tends
to undergo frequent changes and I want to leave these questions up.

2. Why are you guys not taking any more AA orders until late '08??

After two years of almost exclusively working on AAs, we need a break. If you
eat turkey sandwiches every day, Thanksgiving just ain't that special!
Besides, there are some really neat prop kits out there that we want to tackle.
We're working on a couple John Long Phaser 1's, and we're going to give
them the attention they deserve. He's also releasing a TOS Communicator kit
that - get this! - will actually be CAST OFF A DOCUMENTED ORIGINAL! How
cool is that?!? Another beautiful prop kit is the Search For Spock Phaser II,
and we definitely want to build some of those too!

3. JC asks, "I am following your instructions on modding the AA. I may
even be brave enough to try it myself. I am wondering if you do
anything
to increase the weight a little so it feels a little less like a toy."

Glad to hear it, JC! That's what got us into this business in the first place -
doing a tutorial on how to mod the AA Phaser.
I know what you mean about the weight - I built one of those "23rd Century
Pistols" a few years back and added lead shot to the handle to give it some
'heft'. We don't do anything like that to the AAs though... once you add the
metal nozzle, side knob, fins, etc. and install the battery pack in the handle, it
feels a lot more substantial and has a better balance to it. It feels more like
    what you'd expect.
